Rome(ing) around Italia

My next big trip was the most planned of all our travels throughout the semester because it was going to be a week-long during our fall break at Copenhagen Business School. It was also the trip I was most excited about because it had been a lifelong dream of mine to visit Italia! To make the most of our trip a group of friends and I decided to go to 3 major places in Italy: Rome, Amalfi Coast, and Florence.

Our first visit was to Rome and when I tell you I nearly died eating true Italian pasta for the first time I am not exaggerating. That first bite of pasta remains as one of the best bites of food I have ever had. Rome was also one of the coolest places I have ever seen. It was full of such grand and historical places that were breathtaking. In Rome, we went to the Colosseum, the Vatican, and the Trevi fountain just to name a few of the places we saw in between pasta and pizza.

Next, we took the train to the Amalfi coast. Be prepared when you get to the Amalfi coast for car sickness. Those roads around the coast even with skilled taxi and bus drivers made all of us sick at some or numerous points. Besides car sickness, Amalfi was also stunning and a nice relaxation from the hustle and bustle of Rome. Its colorful homes and beautiful ocean views remain unmatched and we even got to eat at a restaurant visited by Leonardo DiCaprio.

Our final stop was Florence. Florence was a little bit smaller than Rome but still a fairly big city. Luckily we stayed in Airbnb with a perfect location, very central to everything. We also learned Florence is known for its Italian leather and high-quality gold. So we all splurged a little and treated ourselves to a ring from Florence.
